For some reason, much of the St. Patrick’s Day clipart is silly. I guess that’s because the holiday itself is a bit whimsical. That’s odd, given that St. Patrick’s Day is actually an ancient religious holiday that’s based on a supposedly real St. Patrick driving the snakes from Ireland. How we got from snakes to cartoon leprechauns and green beer images, I’m not sure. But nowadays much of the St. Patricks Day clip art that’s available is of that ilk.
