Iâ??ve been hearing too many people complain of feeling always tired. Unfortunately it seems to have become the norm and could be caused by iron-deficient anemia. Other signs of the deficiency are extreme fatigue after exercising, always catching colds and the flu and generally feeling unwell. Lack of hemoglobin in the blood causes anemia, iron deficient anemia is more common. Iron is needed to make hemoglobin and deficiency occurs when blood levels are excessively low
Those at risk most from it are women of childbearing age due to dieting and menstruation, pregnant mothers, infants and toddlers, athletes and people with kidney problems among others. For people who complain that I am always tired they do need to get their iron levels checked to make sure they do not suffer from iron deficient anemia. Supplements will increase the iron level as well as eating foods rich in iron such as proteins, legumes, spinach. Those dieting also need to make sure they consciously increase their iron intake. Once this is done, you can say goodbye to tiredness and fatigue.
